
Deco Net Bag Pattern

In this post from the Academy you can learn how to crochet a net bag thanks to this free pattern designed by Lanas Rubi.
This bag has a thick bottom that acts as a base and is woven with the Rubí Deco cotton ball, which has a thick thread and is very easy to knit.
- 4 balls of Ruby Deco
- Crochet hook #5.5
- Wool needle
- Thread in the color of the bag

Cad: chain stitch
Pe: slip stitch
P: point / Pts : points
Vta: return
Aum: increase
Dec: decrease
This work is worked in the round (without side seams).
Cast on a ch of 40 sts.
Row 1: Work in sl st. Inc 3 sts at each end (86 sts)
Row 2-6: Work same as previous row (116 sts)
Rows 7-8: Work in sl st. Dec 1 st at each end (112 sts)
Rows 9-19: Work in sl st.
This is where the bag's openwork begins.
Row 20: Make *4ch skipping 2sts from previous row*
Repeat from * to *. 32 arches.
Rows 21-35: Work in the round over the previous chain-4 space (see photo).
Make *4ch and insert the needle into the space from the previous row*. Repeat from * to *. 32 spaces.
Rows 36-41: Work in sl st. Fasten off.
FINISH
For the bag handles, make two 80cm cords each with 12 strands of Rubí Deco.
Sew the cords to the bag with thread of the same color and make a few passes with the cotton to cover the stitching of the handles.
